QOMPLX joins its employees, their families, and their communities marking the 155th Juneteenth, and a historic one at that. Originating in Galveston on June 19, 1865, when General Order No. 3 was issued by the U.S. Army General Gordon Granger, it officially ended slavery throughout Texas.
We celebrate this particularly historic Juneteenth. Earlier this week, President Biden signed into law the recognition of a traditional family holiday celebrating freedom, African American faith, and culture, as a federal holiday.
Juneteenth is an important step in a more forthright treatment of American history. Black history is a central part of American history - and an equitable future for all people in our society requires deeper acknowledgment and understanding.
Today is one more small step towards realizing the full promise of America.
Sincerely,
Jason Crabtree, CEO
